Casa Auto Group Invests in the Future of Cancer Care
Ronnie Lowenfield, CEO of Casa Auto Group, and his wife, Ashley Lowenfield, have committed a transformative $330,000 gift to establish the Ronald W. & E. Ashley Lowenfield Tumor Board Room at the future Fox Cancer Center at Texas Tech Health El Paso. “To us, this isn’t just about a room or a name on a wall. It’s about ensuring our families, neighbors and friends have world-class care, right here at home. It’s an investment in hope, in healing and in a brighter, healthier future for the place we are so honored to call home.”
Once completed, the center will bring together cancer imaging, treatment, research, clinical trials and prevention programs under one roof. Each year, nearly 3,500 El Pasoans are diagnosed with cancer, and many families are forced to travel hundreds of miles for treatment, officials said. For those who cannot afford to leave town, access to specialized cancer care often remains out of reach.
“These are my people who have supported us for 55 years,” Lowenfield said. “These are the people that I want to just continue to serve and bless as well.”

Park Place Motorcars Fort Worth Celebrates Grand Opening Event Following Dealership Renovation
Park Place Motorcars Fort Worth celebrated the grand opening of its newly renovated showroom and service facilities, with finishing touches underway on the expanded shop and detail building. The extensive renovation transformed the Bryant Irvin Road dealership with the Mercedes-Benz EVolution Design and includes a sleek new showroom featuring contemporary architecture and an open environment. A redesigned client lounge features comfortable seating, a self-service coffee bar and areas for clients to meet with their sales and service advisors.
The grand opening event featured remarks from Park Place leadership, Fort Worth City Councilman Michael Crain and Mercedes-Benz Southern Region Area Manager Frank Gomez. Other notable attendees included Brinkmann Constructors and Praxis3, the general contractor and architect firm for the project, respectively.
“This celebration was an opportunity to welcome our clients and friends from throughout Fort Worth into the dealership and thank them for their support,” said George Johnson, general manager of Park Place Motorcars Fort Worth. “Park Place has a long history in Fort Worth, and many of the relationships we have built extend well beyond the dealership. We value the opportunity to serve this community and to celebrate this milestone with the people who have been part of our story.”
Beyond serving Mercedes-Benz clients, Park Place Motorcars Fort Worth has long-term relationships with nonprofit organizations serving the Fort Worth community. The evening benefited Rutledge Cancer Foundation, a Fort Worth nonprofit that provides support to adolescents and young adults diagnosed with cancer.
As part of the celebration, a $10,000 check was presented to Lynn Hammer, executive director of the Rutledge Cancer Foundation, recognizing the Foundation’s transformative work.
