25 2014 WINTER 229 There are others from the Amarillo area who help out on the hunts. Benj Ware owns the 3 Bar Ranch which butts up to Spring Creek Ranch on the north. Benj always takes some of the guys to his ranch and several stay the night in his ranch house. Zeb Wilson, former Marine, helps Benj with those who stay there. Now for the Gunfighter Club…. It started out as a joke… just something to do…membership card and all. It quickly took on a life of its own. Guys have actually used their cards to get discounted ammo, free drinks, discount gasoline, etc. We have privates, colonels, generals (3), a federal judge, business men, and others. Basically members have either served in the mili- tary or supported those who have… or do. The Commandant of the Marine Corps is a Gunfighter as is the current CG, 1st Marine Division. I cannot begin to describe to you how much my association with the Bradley clan… and all these young studs have meant to me. They are our Nation’s best and there will never be too much we can do for them. When they are at Spring Creek, they are just guys… not disabled vets… but just guys. They have fun and when they have fun, it puts a smile on my face. Their courage and sacrifice equals that of any battle fought since Lexington and Concord and which sets our country apart from every other nation. Texas dealers revere that patriotic spirit by honoring military veterans past and present, but none more so than the Bradley’s of Amarillo. Matt Keil and Lt. Col. Richard Weede, USMC ret.
