13 WINTER 2015 And of course I am incoming Chairman of TADA and I was Chairman of the Legislative Committee for the last two years. Describe your all-time favorite vehicle (it can be one you’ve owned, or something on your wish list). What are you driving today? I’d have to say the 1965 Mustang Convertible, which by far was probably one of the greatest cars ever built. Right now I’m driving a Ford F150. Tell us about your family. My wife and I have been married for 32 years. We have twins, a boy and a girl, Jordan and Sheridan. Jordan works for us and presently is learning the business. My daughter Sheridan is mar- ried and has a little boy, Boyd, and has another grandchild for us on the way. Stephen is our third child and he graduated from the University of Texas with a Masters in Educational Psychology last May. He is currently teaching at one of the KIPP Schools in Austin. What is your favorite way to spend your free time? Any unusual hobbies? I enjoy spending time with my family. We have a house in Galveston that we all enjoy going to and spending time together. My wife and I love to travel. I play an occasional round of golf and my goal is to beat my wife. We have a two-year old black lab, Pepper, that I bought about 7 months ago. She loves to hunt. Pepper and I earned her certification as a hospital pet therapy dog and I’m involved with an organization called Faithful Paws. We visit patients at several hospitals in Houston. She loves to come to the dealership with me, and does about three times a week. I am looking forward to TADA’s 100th year anniversary this coming year and I am honored to serve as your Chairman.
