TxDMV will not verify inspection of a vehicle displaying dealer plates, nor will an inspection fee be collected. • The dealer eTag system functions as it previously did under “Two Steps, One Sticker.” However, dealers should ensure a vehicle displaying a buyer tag has an inspection before it leaves the dealership. • Vehicles displaying a temporary dealer and temporary con- verter tags remain exempt from inspection.
