11 FALL 2017 S treet Volkswagen of Amarillo is a vital part of the Panhandle community. Our employees are busy all year with different non-profit organizations volun- teering and being on boards. We encourage all employees to take the initiative in something they truly believe in and help others whether it’s by volunteering during the week or with monetary donations. We have employees who sit on various Boards of Direc- tors including Make-A-Wish, United Way of Amarillo & Canyon, Young Life, Boy Scouts of America, The Bridge, The Amarillo Symphony, AMBUCS, and so many others. Mr. Street andMr. Luciano both sit on the Executive Board on the Chamber of Commerce. Laura has headed the Amarillo Chamber as well as other community institutions and is recognized as a key figure in the growth and success of Amarillo and the upper panhandle of Texas. Joe Street, CEO of Street Automotive Group, is a community icon and an industry leader who currently serves as a Vice- Chairman on the TADA Executive Committee. One of the leading Toyota dealers in the country, Joe Street made a dramatic change in the operation and culture of the automobile business inAmarillowhen he created a partnership with John Luciano from El Paso. One of themost dynamic and innovative deal- ers in the industry, John Luciano and his equally cre- ativewife, Kat, joined the Street organization several years ago operating Street Volkswagen in Amarillo. It didn’t take John or Kat any time to get completely immersed in the community, and the Panhandle has not been the same since, with everyone benefitting from the Luciano effect. One of Kat Luciano’s pas - sions is Young Life Amarillo, protecting and nurtur- ing the youth of the city.
