12 A Tribute To Bill Wolters B ill Wolters retired as President of TADA effective December 31, 2019. He was a true champion of Texas dealers and knew the tremendous value of those dealers to their communities and to the great State of Texas. His TADA career began in 1982 as the Director of Dealer Performance Groups. He was named Executive Vice President in 1986 and was responsible for the daily operations for 17 years before being named President on January 1, 2004. The respect, admiration and gratitude of our dealers, association executives, TADA staff and friends are reflected here in these tributes to Bill. Bill Wolters is Amazing!!! His knowledge of Texas dealers and Texas high school football is encyclopedic. There has never been a better spokesperson for the dealers in Texas and I doubt there ever will be anyone to top Bill. I have been fortunate to work with him on Truck issues in Texas over the last few years. Bill has the uncanny ability to bring out the best in everyone involved while confronting the issues of the day. Brian Bruckner, Bruckner’s Truck Sales, Inc. Bill Wolters has been the biggest advocate and cheerleader for the Texas Automobile Dealers for over 30 years. He is a wealth of informa- tion and statistics of the value of the New Car Franchise to its Community and State. He has been a great leader of TADA and will be truly missed.
