14 Congratulations, Bill, on your outstanding tenure at TADA. You served the Dealers of Texas with distinc- tion. Faith and I wish you the very best as you enter your new phase of life! I treasure our friendship. WalterWainwright, Houston Automobile Dealers Association As Bill Wolters rides into his retirement sunset, I want to con- gratulate him on a brilliant career. Bill and I started as assistants at the Texas and California dealer associations, and both had the good fortune to work for hard-driving bosses that were also good mentors. When we both became leaders of the country’s two largest state dealer associations, we consulted with each other regularly and Bill always had a helpful strategy to share or a helping hand to lend. Steady at the keel and always prepared. I’m still going to call you for advice, Bill! Peter Welch, NADA President Bill, as your TADA career winds down, I want to say a few things that I have learned about you that I will never forget: 1. You have been an incredible leader to our Association and will never be forgotten. 2. Your servitude has been unmatched in our industry and has been recog- nized all over the United States. 3. You, recognizing our members and their families, is an amazing feat that I wish I could accomplish. 4. The never-ending smile that you carry wherever you go is incredible. 5. You’ve hired and kept a staff that is envied by any employer in our industry. 6. You learned how to lease a building and keep it leased so we could afford it. 7. You carried and led me during my Chairmanship, which was much appreciated. 8. Most importantly, your friendship will never be forgotten. Thanks for all you have done and God Bless you, my friend.
